Better Together

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another.” —Hebrews 10:24–25(NIV)
God never intended for us to walk this faith journey alone. From the very beginning, He created us for connection — first with Him and then with one another. When we come together as believers, something powerful happens: our faith deepens, our burdens lighten, and our lives begin to reflect God’s heart more clearly.
In community, we experience the beauty of God’s design. Like pieces of a puzzle, we each reveal a part of His image, but together we display a fuller picture of His love and grace. When life gets hard, the prayers and encouragement of others give us strength to keep going. When joy overflows, we have people to celebrate with us. “Iron sharpens iron” (Proverbs 27:17), and that sharpening often happens in the context of real, honest relationships.
Isolation can make us vulnerable to doubt, fear, and discouragement. But unity builds resilience. In gathering, serving, and worshiping together, we experience Christ’s presence in a unique way — a reminder that He is with us and working through us. The early church thrived because believers shared life and purpose; they were truly better together.
Today, take a moment to thank God for the people He’s placed in your life. Ask Him to show you how to strengthen those connections, encourage someone who’s struggling, or join a group where you can grow and give. Because in God’s kingdom, faith flourishes best — together.
