I Will Always Be With You

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” -Matthew 6:25 (NIV)
Worry is sneaky. It starts with one small concern—a bill due, a doctor’s appointment, a child’s behavior—and before we know it, we’re drowning in what ifs. It clouds our thoughts, steals our sleep, and drains the joy out of our day. But in Matthew 6:25, Jesus gently reminds us that life is about more than the things we stress over.
He isn’t saying our concerns don’t matter. He’s saying we weren’t designed to carry them alone.
When we hold on to worry, it’s like lugging around a backpack full of bricks—heavy, exhausting, and completely unnecessary. Jesus invites us to lay that burden down. Not because everything will always go smoothly, but because He will always be with us. That’s His promise. He’s not just watching from afar—He walks with us, provides for us, and strengthens us in the middle of our mess.
When we really believe God is with us and for us, worry begins to lose its grip. We can breathe a little easier, rest a little deeper, and trust a little more. Because the One who holds the universe also holds you.
Prayer
God, You know how easily I slip into worry. Remind me today that You are with me, that You care for me, and that I can trust You with every detail of my life. Help me trade my anxiety for Your peace, and to walk in the freedom of knowing You’ve got me. Amen.
