I Will Always Give You Peace

I Will Always Give You Peace

Who doesn’t long for just 5 minutes peace?

Let’s face it-between today’s hustle culture, phone notifications, financial pressures, family drama and work issues, who would blame you if you locked yourself in a closet for just a few minutes peace?

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you…” -John 14:27

When He prepared to return to the Father, He didn’t leave His followers empty-handed. Instead, He offered something deeply personal—His peace. Not just a feeling, not just a moment of calm, but His very own peace, the same peace that carried Him through every trial, rejection, and storm.

He also gave us the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us to remind us of truth, guide our steps, and anchor us in that peace.

Jesus knew life would be chaotic and unpredictable. He knew we’d face stress, fear, and sorrow. So He gave us a gift the world can’t manufacture or take away: His eternal peace—steady, unshakable, and always present.

So, how do we tap into the peace Jesus has already given us? It’s not earning it—it’s about remembering and receiving what’s already ours. Here are a few practical ways to do that:

  1. Pause and Pray – When anxiety hits, take a deep breath and talk to Jesus. Simply saying, “Lord, I receive your peace right now,” can reset your heart.
  2. Stay in the Word – His peace is often found through His promises. Reading Scripture reminds us of what’s true, even when life feels chaotic.
  3. Let the Holy Spirit Lead – Jesus left us His Spirit to guide, comfort, and calm us. Ask Him to fill your thoughts and emotions with His peace.
  4. Surrender Control – Peace grows when we stop striving and start trusting. Letting go doesn’t mean giving up—it means giving it to God.
  5. Practice Gratitude – Thanking God, even in hard moments, shifts our focus from fear to faith. Peace and gratitude often go hand in hand.

No matter what surrounds you today, you can breathe deeply knowing: His peace lives in you.
